Details

"Mizrach" means east. A mizrach is traditionally a decorated hanging for the eastern wall of the house or synagogue which indicates the direction of Jerusalem, the focus of our prayers. Over the years, many beautiful and different types have been developed. Paper cuts, painted, wood engravings and here - embroidered. Depicted is the menorah, which was lit daily in the Temple by Aharon Ha Cohen.
